We’re seeking an experienced SEO Content Manager to lead our content operations and editorial team. This is NOT a high-volume writing position – it’s a strategic leadership role focused on managing writers, optimizing workflows with AI, and ensuring content drives real SEO results. You’ll oversee the production of everything from blog content to white papers, working closely with SEO specialists and using AI tools to revolutionize how we create and deliver content.
Key Responsibilities
Content Operations Leadership
Manage and coordinate a team of writers and freelancers responsible for content production
Assign content briefs based on SEO strategy and marketing requests
Edit and approve all content for clarity, quality, and brand alignment
Maintain editorial calendars and content workflows in ClickUp
Translate internal content requests into actionable briefs for writers
Content Production Oversight
Oversee production of diverse content types:
Blog articles and thought leadership pieces
Research reports and white papers
Case studies and success stories
Lead magnets and conversion content
Newsletters and email campaigns
Ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices and drives organic growth
Track content production metrics and optimize for performance
Strategic Collaboration
Coordinate with SEO subject matter experts to execute content roadmap
Participate in client conversations related to content strategy
Work with marketing team to align content with broader initiatives
Provide content insights and recommendations based on performance data
AI-Powered Innovation
Use Claude and Claude Code to improve content workflows and efficiency
Implement AI tools for research, editing, and production optimization
Experiment with new AI capabilities to enhance content operations
Drive efficiency improvements through prompt engineering and automation
Required Skills & Experience
Experience Requirements
5+ years in content management, editorial operations, or related role
Proven experience managing writers and content teams
Strong background in SEO-driven content strategy
Track record of improving content performance through data-driven decisions
Technical Proficiency
SEO & Analytics Tools:
Google Search Console (expert level)
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
SEO platforms (Search Atlas, Ahrefs, or similar)
Understanding of SEO metrics and content performance
Content Operations:
WordPress or similar CMS platforms
ClickUp or comparable project management tools
Editorial workflow management
Content calendar planning and execution
AI Tools (Required):
Claude and Claude Code for workflow optimization
AI writing and editing tools
Prompt engineering skills
Comfort experimenting with new AI capabilities
Note: Full software development experience NOT required
