The Role
We’re seeking a Proposal Writer with 2-5 years of environmental or safety compliance experience to join our remote team. This role combines technical knowledge with strong writing skills to create compelling proposals for California businesses. You’ll handle routine client conversations and proposal development independently, while collaborating with senior consultants on complex projects and long-term contracts.
This is a technical role that requires understanding environmental compliance and California regulations. You’ll have direct client interactions for routine proposals—answering questions, clarifying scope, and presenting services. For larger opportunities and complex regulatory projects, you’ll work alongside our senior sales team to develop comprehensive proposals. Success requires technical competence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build client relationships through clear, professional interactions.

Draft professional client communications including emails, follow-up letters, and service agreements
Present CDMS services and capabilities to prospective clients during routine sales conversations
Coordinate with technical staff to gather project details, timelines, and pricing information for proposals
Maintain proposal templates and standard language library for efficient proposal development
Track proposal submissions, follow up on pending opportunities, and manage client communication timeline
Update and maintain client database and proposal tracking systems
Learn California compliance requirements and CDMS service offerings to improve proposal quality and client conversations over time
